Body Fat Reduction Coaching

Want to lose body fat? The first thing I'm going to tell you is, don't go on a diet. That's right, going on a diet is the biggest mistake you can make. Why? Because most diets are not based on sound nutritional principles, are hard to follow, and most of all, make no long term provision for maintaining your weight loss. In other words, when you go on a diet, you eventually go off the diet and do what? Go right back to the eating habits that caused the weight gain in the first place.

Personal Fitness Training

What is a personal trainer, you ask? Personal trainers are part-coach, part-mentor, part-friend and even part-drill instructor at times. What remains steady is their goal, which is to help with an individual’s fitness program in a gym or private setting.

Our focus is on a healthy lifestyle, a commitment to a fit physique, and a desire to share our passion with others is what alllows us to serve as positive role models for the exercise challenged or for those who want to take their fitness to the next level.

High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT)

How can you take your Cardio training to the next level? Rev up the intensity! Instead of just sprinting and jogging, start at 50 percent effort and gradually increase your speed and effort by 10 percent. Then, when you reach 90 percent intensity at 5 minutes, drop the intensity back to 60 percent and repeat the process.

You can do this workout on the elliptical, recumbent bike, rower, stepper, outdoor trails. To keep things fresh, don't use the same machine twice in a row.

Individual Strength Training

Strength training is a type of physical exercise specializing in the use of resistance to induce muscular contraction which builds the strength, anaerobic endurance, and size of skeletal muscles.

When properly performed, strength training can provide significant functional benefits and improvement in overall health and well-being. Training commonly uses the technique of progressively increasing the force output of the muscle through incremental weight increases and uses a variety of exercises and types of equipment to target specific muscle groups. Strength training is primarily an anaerobic activity, although some proponents have adapted it to provide the benefits of aerobic exercise through circuit training.

Nutrition Assistance

Nutrition counseling is an ongoing process in which a health professional, usually a registered dietitian, works with an individual to assess his or her usual dietary intake and identify areas where change is needed. The nutrition counselor provides information, educational materials, support, and follow-up to help the individual make and maintain the needed dietary changes.

Total Body Conditioning

Body conditioning classes provide whole body workouts that focus equally on strengthening exercises, aerobic exercise and endurance. They often involve floor work on exercise mats and the use of free weights or other implements. They are high-impact, high-energy workout sessions that aim to challenge those in the class

Weight Management Coaching

Dieting without support is a fight - against obesity, against society, against your own body - against all parts of yourself. The struggle to regain the slimmer body you deserve is too often unsuccessful as 8 out of 10 people who start a diet eventually regain the lost weight within a year.

Flexibility and Stretching Training

Without adequate flexibility, daily activities such as getting out of bed, lifting a child, or squatting to pick something up can become more difficult to do. In addition, inadequate flexibility can affect your athletic performance by preventing you from reaching the full potential, strength, and power of your muscles.

Resistance Band Training

When it comes to strength training, most of us stick to the usual free weights and machines or, if we're feeling frisky, we may venture over to the cable or free motion machines at the gym. What you don't see a lot of, is work with resistance bands or tubing.

We're often confused about what resistance bands do and how to use them, but they're a great way to workout while you travel or add variety to your usual routine.

Kettle Bell Training

Kettlebells are a great way to spice up the usual lifting routine. As with traditional strength training, two days a week is a great place to start—but don't hesitate to weave those kettlebells into the standard weightlifting routine

Power Ropes Training

Ropes aren't just for sailing and S&M. They're a must-have tool for anyone looking to pack on lean mass. "The key to their effectiveness is that they work each arm independently, eliminating strength imbalances as they sculpt your muscle," says John Brookfield, creator of the original battling-ropes system. They also provide a killer cardio workout.
